Surfsand Hotel Wedding

A calming wind juxtaposes the turbulent waters along the sandy windswept shore of Cannon Beach Oregon. On this beautiful July summer day, TJ and Kirsten decided to dedicate themselves to each other for all time. We were there to capture the moment and all the small moments along the way that made this such a special event to be a part of. Choosing Cannon Beach as the location of their wedding was not happenstance, it couldn’t be any further from coincidence. TJ and Kirsten chose this location because of the memories they have made together here. The moments they have shared individually that helped to forge the strong bonds of love that they celebrate today. Bringing together family and friends from all over the world was the best way to show how these bonds they have built here are only strengthened by sharing that love they have for one another with those closest to them in their lives.

Wedding At Canon Beach

As the waters of the Pacific dance upon the sand just in front of the ceremony, guests were treated to the story of TJ and Kirsten’s relationship. Speaking to the dedication each of them has for each other and the love that had grown between them in the months leading up to their marriage. Never was their commitment to each other so pronounced than when Kirsten recited her vows to TJ. She spoke of a choice that was never in doubt. She expressed to him how his kindness, optimism, and dedication to her has never faltered, even in times that she felt it would. It wasn’t in spite of her admitted faults that he chose to love her but was instead because of those faults that only made the relationship stronger.

As the officiant turned to each of them to recite their final dedications, you could see the emotions struggling to come out. At the announcement, it was obvious to all in attendance how passionately they felt for each other and how much this ceremony was the culmination of one part of their life passing into the next. A life that will be enjoyed and cherished together for all time.

The celebration then moved indoors to the banquet hall. The room greeted guests with a beautiful purple lighting accent provided by our uplights that adorned the curtained backdrop of the reception area. Friends and family provided toasts to the happy couple and shared stories of Kirsten and TJ’s lives and how their love for one another affected their lives positively. There truly is no better way to honor a newly married couple than to express how they have grown together both as individuals and in their relationship since their meeting. You could easily tell how much their relationship has meant to all of those closest to them.

The celebration then moved back out to the beach with music provided by none other than DJ Cutt himself. This was a time for the happy couple to really let their hair down and enjoy the spirit of the event. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they partied well into the night and DJ Cutt even threw some of those old 90’s favorites Kirsten spoke about into the mix as part of the event.

In closing, this was truly a wonderful event to have been a part of. Reflecting on the ceremony overlooking the Pacific it truly inspired thoughts of the infinite especially as it perfectly parallels the bonds of love that were forged there between TJ and Kirsten. We had a great time at this event, and we are so happy that we could share a little of it with you. After all, it is these captured moments that will live on forever in the minds of everyone blessed enough to have shared them with TJ and Kirsten

What Does a Wedding MC Do

One of the most overlooked and important announcements the MC can make once the ceremony is over involves making sure everyone knows how to locate the restroom.

How To Plan Your Wedding Timeline

When it comes to planning a wedding, one of the most important aspects is the event timeline. This is necessary to keep everybody on schedule and make sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Here at DJ Cutt Entertainment, we understand the importance of preparation. That’s why we have our own online planning form for you to use with the specific times that we need to know. On your wedding day we will try our hardest to hit these specific events at the specific times. However, we approach the entire day with a commitment to flexibility, because we know many things can run late (or early) during the actual event. Often times, you won’t know what time the day should start but you have a hard out when the event must end. Our approach is to plan the timeline in reverse so that way you know exactly what time to start your event versus just trying to guess. Many venues have a hard cut off time that you have to be out by and a time that the vendors have to be out by as well. What time do weddings typically end? After DJing weddings the past 15 years in Oregon and Portland, the average end time is somewhere between 9:30 and 10. We have had weddings go till at least 3 in the morning but 90 to 95% of weddings and at this time.
